Pembroke Hill High School is renowned for its impressively mentally stable student body, but with the stress of homecoming week and inconveniently placed tests, it seems all sense has been thrown straight out the window. It all started on Monday, when most students showed up to school clad in nothing but pajama pants and loose-fitting shirts. Teachers were thrown by the sudden stylistic change, but they brushed the incident off as typical Gen Z laziness. This was, evidently, a mistake, as the very next day, this delirium seemed to escalate as the student body entered the building dressed in collared shirts, basketball shorts, and ankle length socks. This clear fashion emergency has affected even the most sane of students, as Pembroke’s usual quintessential fashion icons bore a striking resemblance to Adam Sandler on Tuesday. Unfortunately, the source of this mass delirium could not be identified by the time Wednesday rolled around, as the seniors waltzed into class looking 60 years older and lugging around walkers surely stolen from their bedridden grandparents. Teachers, who seem startlingly exempt from this identity crisis, could only cower in fear as teenagers waddled around campus and squinted through their spectacles. On Thursday, though the unprecedented coordinated fashion continued, the students’ clothes became more visually pleasing. The senior class all dressed up as if they were going to school in the 90s, clad in gold chains and jerseys. With admin still questioning what this sudden, collective identity crisis means for the future of the school, Friday saw the return of normalcy as students came dressed in their iconic red Pembroke Hill t-shirts. Happy late spirit day everyone!
