Starbucks’ new fall menu is out, and I have to say, besides your usual pumpkin spice latte and assorted Chai drinks, I’m not a huge fan. I usually get the white chocolate mocha whenever I decide to take a trip to the Brookside Starbucks, but just yesterday, I decided that I was feeling bold and adventurous. As such, I made the egregious mistake of going outside my comfort zone and ordering the Iced Apple Crisp Oat Milk Macchiato, eager to embrace the fall with a new, fun little drink of my own. Until I actually tasted it. Unfortunately, said drink still sits ¾ of the way full in my fridge, as I could hardly even drink a quarter of it without putting it down for good. The drink doesn’t taste bad, per se, but it’s a strange combination of apple syrup and not enough cinnamon, making for a milky blend that each one of my friends who tried it seemed to unanimously dislike. Of course, this is just my opinion, but if you’re like me and feeling basic for sticking to the same three rotation Starbucks orders, just know that there’s nothing wrong with sticking with what works.
