The Pembroke Hill Men’s Swim Team has had an amazing season this year. Led by their two new coaches, Griffin Schaetzle and Dane Florea, the team has dropped considerable amounts of time. In fact, in last week’s Independent League Championships the 200 Medley Relay (Jack Grant, Johnny Honnold, Miles Grisell, and Will Jermann) dropped 5 seconds. Impressive performances like these were commonplace at the Conference Championships as the Raider’s placed second, only behind Rockhurst.
This Friday and Saturday (11/15 and 11/16) the Raiders will travel to St. Peters, Missouri to swim in the Class 1 MSHSAA Men’s Swim and Dive Championships. At this meet the team will compete in the 200 Yard Medley Relay (Jack Grant, Johnny Honnold, Will Jermann, and Sean Hong), 50 Yard Freestyle (Jack Grant), 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (Jack Grant, Will Jerman, Johnny Honnold, and Sean Hong), 100 Yard Backstroke (Jack Grant), 100 Yard Breaststroke (Liam O’Keefe and Johnny Honnold), 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (Will Jermann, Miles Grisell, Johnny Honnold, and Sean Hong.)
