Pembroke girls’ Volleyball season has come to a close. The team had an incredible season, with a winning record (21-7). Pembroke had the opportunity to host Districts, so Volleyball had an excited student section rooting for them in every game. The team lost District Finals in four sets (3-1) in a thrilling and extremely competitive game. earning 2nd place in Districts, an achievement they haven’t reached since the 2022 season, demonstrating how far the team has come.
Volleyball had their banquet on November 11, where the girls and their families gathered to celebrate their successful season. The team watched their highlights across all teams, and joined for one final team-bonding event to celebrate their achievements. Pembroke’s success wasn’t just marked by their final record and outstanding finish, though. The team had seven players earn district honors. Haley Lockton and Gabby Winn earned All-District 2nd Team, and Katherine O’Shaughnessy, Isabel Janes, Lochlar O’Bleness, and Elizabeth Weaver earned All-District 1st Team. Players also reached several other team milestones, including sophomore setter, Isabel Janes, who reached 1000 career assists and is well on her way to doubling that number by her senior year. With a strong core of returning players and the momentum from this year’s historic season, Pembroke Volleyball is prepared to make it even further in 2026.
